Ek Tara is a Kolkata-based grassroots organisation providing quality education and holistic development opportunities to over 5,000 children, most of whom are first-generation school-goers, helping them build pathways toward lifelong learning and economic mobility.
Ek Tara was founded to break cycles of poverty through education. We work in underserved urban communities and government schools, addressing barriers through structured learning, community engagement, and comprehensive support systems.
Its programmes include the Learning Centre, Community Centre, Government School Partnerships, and the Music & Arts School, collectively creating an integrated ecosystem for child and community development.
